what a glorious day

the blustery dry day calls me out so early this morning
I heard her blowing all night
shush wushshush wuuuuuuuushhhhhhhh
banging the blinds to keep me awake

up from the salt marshes
and in from the the northwest
the sweetest wind
full of life and hope

no skeets
and the marsh grass sways with designs by the wind

my sheets whip and blow with the northwind
bringing back memories of my mom
the way i ran through them with such glee
how fresh and ionic they smelled
happiness with such simplicity

Oh breath of earth, thank you for your sweet breath on me and such happy memories!

e

warm summer rain

the warm summer night, came with the warm summer rain
shepherding the firefly's gently up from the salt marshes
twinkling
they all twinkled magically
into the shelter of the trees and bushes

the soft rain on the leaves sounded like light applause
what a beautiful night show
for those
who
were so lucky
to see!
